Favorite Game Series

We all know that there are several game series out there, so let's get down to it:

For every game series that you've ever played, what was your most favorite? If there are a few out there that you really can't decide on, heck just post whichever ones you want.

As for me, there's a series that I've followed for quite a long time, and that's the Ratchet and Clank series. Available only on PlayStation, this series is my most favorite because of the play style and the characters personalities. This series also has an excellent flow of action, humor, and just over-all awesomeness.

If you ever pick up a PS2 or PS3, I would strongly suggest giving this series a shot. They had a few for the PSP as well, but they just aren't on the same level.


Now it's your turn, what is your most favorite game series?

I've gotta go with the Metroid series on this one. This series was just great, the exploring, the different options and paths you could take, and even the different endings. Although the newer versions of the game are lacking in my opinion, the original games make up for it.

Man I've followed so many game series over the years, including the Ratchet and Clank one, but my favorite would have to be the Zelda series. No game has disappoint me yet in its massive collection.

Mass Effect for the 360, only two games have come out (the plan is for a trilogy, so the epic conclusion is coming down the road), but it's awesome. It redefines everything, and I find it awesome that the choices you made in the first game carried over into the second game, and they'll even carry over into the third game.

Very much like Kas, I am in love with the Ratchet and Clank series, but I would have to say my favorite series is Pokemon. I did drop out of the Pokemon games after the Hoen (Spelling is for noobs) region. I love the game, and the cartoon, even the card game. I've been following it for so long I have a single card worth ~$150, a Pokemon Emerald where I caught a Gym Leader, and unreleased cartoons on VHS. All in all, I love Pokemon, and I always will love it the way I remembered it, not the way it's slowly being ruined x)
