These games were great, no matter how over-hyped the newer games are, they were just awesome. So I wanna know, who played them? And what did you find most memorable about them?

For me, in Halo 2, it was all the "super-jumps" that could be pulled off multiplayer. It was endless fun bouncing 600 feet up into the air, only to barely miss the platform you were trying to land on, and fall to your death.

Ah yes Halo. I've owned both CE and 2, but played 2 first since it came with my XBOX as a gift. I remember the super jumps as well, they pissed me off a lot but were fun at the same time. Something that really drove me nuts in multiplayer were campers with freaking plasma swords Dx

For CE the most memorable thing was when me and my cousin fought the Flood in co-op. Mainly because he would jump on my head to stay safe like a little coward.

I'm one of those people who think that Halo is overrated as a series. Weak story, weak pretty much everything. Still, I do remember playing Halo 2 at a friends house. That's probably my favorite game of the series, actually. Playing multi-player was a blast, and it made XBOX Live become a phenomenon of sorts.

Perhaps I'm a little biased towards the quality of Halo, since it was the very first FPS game that actually caught my interest. And one always has to remember that it's not supposed to have any type of "real-life" feel, like the CoD series. It's just meant for fun, and I really think that the older games (and parts of the newer ones) brought that to the table. It's all preference I suppose.
